General public tickets for the 2020 AFL Premiership Season are on sale now.
The MCG will host 46 matches across the season, including the traditional season opening clash between reigning premiers Richmond and Carlton on Thursday March 19.
The MCG will host matches in all 23 rounds of the AFL Premiership Season, including:
• Three Thursday night matches (Rounds 1, 2 and 3)
• Six Friday night matches (Rounds 6, 9, 11, 13, 17 and 18)
• Two Saturday night matches (Rounds 9 and 10)
• Two Monday public holiday matches (Rounds 4 and 12)
• Five rounds of triple header matches (Rounds 3, 6, 9, 11 and 18)
As the home of the blockbuster match, the MCG will host:
- Collingwood hosting Essendon on ANZAC Day (Round 6 - April 25)
- Melbourne hosting Richmond for ANZAC Day Eve (Round 6 – April 24)
- Dreamtime at the ‘G played between Essendon and Richmond (Round 10 – May 23)
- The Big Freeze at the ‘G played between Melbourne and Collingwood on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday (Round 12 – June 8)
Round 23 remains a floating fixture in 2020, with details for the final Premiership Season match at the MCG between Collingwood and Gold Coast SUNS to be determined later in the season.
