Arrive early
During the AFL Finals Series, the process for entry into the MCG may take longer than usual. To ensure you are inside the MCG in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.Download your ticket prior to your arrival at the MCG. To gain entry into the match, scan your digital ticket at the turnstiles.

AFLW - Melbourne v North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos
The MCG will host Melbourne v North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos in Round Two of the 2022 AFLW Season Seven.The AFLW match will begin at 5.00pm AEST on Friday September 2, ahead of the Melbourne v Sydney Second Qualifying Final from 7.50pm AEST.
Tickets will need to be purchased for the AFL Finals Series match between Melbourne and Sydney Swans to attend the AFLW match at the MCG prior.

General public general admission seating is not available for this match.The following walk up areas are available in the AFL Reserve for AFL members only:

- Brunton Avenue: 5.00pm-11.30pm
- Jolimont Street and Terrace: 5.00pm-11.30pm

The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges and in 2022, the G-Train will also feature vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.
Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
- Richmond Station
- Jolimont Station
- Accessible Parking Area

Australian Sports Museum
The Australian Sports Museum is open event days before the bounce for all ticket holders.Located at Gate 3 inside the MCG, the Museum showcases the best of Australian sports including AFL, cricket and the Olympics.
For this match, the Museum is open from 10.00am-2.00pm.
Please note: MCG Tours do no operate on event days.

Metro Trains Planned Disruptions
Buses replace trains on sections of the Mernda line this Friday.- Passengers should allow extra time when travelling to and from the MCG.
- Please be aware after the game there may be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Jolimont station.
- Passengers are advised to return to where they got off the bus prior to the game.

Melbourne Park pedestrian pathway diversions
Pedestrian access through parts of Melbourne Park will be restricted from Thursday September 1 to Sunday September 4. This will impact patrons accessing the MCG from Olympic Boulevard for this match.Best access to the MCG from Olympic Boulevard will be via the eastern plaza footbridge that runs between John Cain Arena and MCG Gate 6. Alternate access to MCG Gates 1 and 2 is also available via the Rod Laver Arena external concourse.
Please allow extra travel time to get to and from the MCG.
