During the AFL Finals Series, the process for entry into the MCG may take longer than usual. 2022 AFL Finals Series - Qualifying Final 1 - Geelong Cats v CollingwoodThe G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges and in 2022, the G-Train will also feature vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.
Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
- Richmond Station
- Jolimont Station
- Accessible Parking Area

Metro Trains Planned Disruptions
Buses replace trains on sections of the Mernda and Upfield lines this Saturday.- Passengers should allow extra time when travelling to and from the MCG.
- Please be aware after the game there may be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Richmond and Jolimont stations.
- Passengers are advised to return to where they got off the bus prior to the game.

Melbourne Park pedestrian pathway diversions
Pedestrian access through parts of Melbourne Park will be restricted from Thursday September 1 to Sunday September 4. This will impact patrons accessing the MCG from Olympic Boulevard for this match.Best access to the MCG from Olympic Boulevard will be via the eastern plaza footbridge that runs between John Cain Arena and MCG Gate 6. Alternate access to MCG Gates 1 and 2 is also available via the Rod Laver Arena external concourse.
Please allow extra travel time to get to and from the MCG.
