Getting to the ‘G
On AFL Grand Final Day, the process for entry into the MCG may take longer than usual. To ensure you are inside the MCG in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.Download your ticket prior to your arrival at the MCG. To gain entry into the match, scan your digital ticket at the turnstiles.

PARKING IN YARRA PARK
No general public parking is available for this match. Extremely limited parking is available for accessibility and accredited passholders only.
Accessibility parking will go on sale at 10.00am AEST on Wednesday September 24 via Ticketek.
PRECINCT ROAD CLOSURES
- Brunton Avenue will be closed between 6.00am-11.59pm.
- Jolimont Street & Terrace will be closed between 5.00am-8.00pm.
- Wellington Parade will be closed between 5.30pm-8.30pm.
- Vale Street will be closed between 5.00am-8.00pm.

At the ‘G
- You will be required to enter via the gate listed on your ticket.
- The MCG is a cashless venue. All food, beverage, merchandise and ticketing outlets will be cashless – so all transactions will need to be made on your debit or credit card.
- The MCG is a smoke, e-cigarette and vape free venue. Patrons found smoking or vaping inside the Ground will face immediate eviction.
- At the MCG, your safety is our priority. If you experience any form of antisocial behaviour, please report it by texting 'Assist' to the MCG's antisocial text hotline on +61 409 117 621.
Accessibility Entry Gate 3B
For the AFL Grand Final, the MCG will open a dedicated entry at Gate 3B (to the left of Gate 3 opposite Club Hub) for patrons who require additional assistance entering the stadium. The entry process will be slower, quieter and will support patrons with disability (including hidden disabilities), those with sensory needs, or simply those who require additional help and time to enter the ground comfortably.Features of this gate will include:
- Handheld ticket scanning.
- No overhead announcements or flashing signs.
- Additional support from trained MCG staff and security, including staff who can interpret Auslan.
- Close proximity to the MCG’s Sensory Friendly Space and Changing Places bathroom.
- Staff will be able to assist patrons with the security entry process at the gate.
- Optional support from trained therapy dogs, ‘Milo’ and ‘Chilli’.

Accessibility
The G’ TRAIN MOBILITY SHUTTLE SERVICEThe G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.
The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.
Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
- Richmond Station
- Jolimont Station
- Accessible Parking Area

SENSORY FRIENDLY SPACE
A Sensory Friendly Space is located within the Australian Sports Museum on Level 1 of the Olympic Stand (behind M51, inside Gate 3). This is a space for patrons of all ages who have sensory sensitivities, processing differences, or other hidden disabilities.
There are two rooms within the space offering patrons the ability to choose between quietly watching the event in a tiered theatre or using personal sensory strategies and fidget toys to relax in a multi-purpose room.
