The 2025/26 domestic cricket schedule has been announced with the MCG to host two Sheffield Shield matches during summer in addition to previously announced Big Bash League (BBL) and international fixtures.
Victoria will host Western Australia in the four-day match from December 4-7, before returning to play Queensland from February 5-8, 2026.
This now finalises the MCG’s cricket schedule for 2025/26 after recent confirmation the Melbourne Stars will play four home matches at the ‘G.
The Stars will commence their BBL|15 campaign against the Hobart Hurricanes on December 18, just over one week ahead of the highly anticipated Men’s Ashes Boxing Day Test.
Massive crowds are expected to come through the gates once again for the Boxing Day Test, with new attendance records achieved for both men’s and women’s Test matches last summer.
Tickets for the T20 International and Boxing Day Test are on sale now via Ticketek.
Ticketing details for the domestic cricket schedule, including BBL|15 matches, will be announced shortly.
