The MCG will host the AFLW Round 2 clash Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide on Friday September 6 in the lead-up to the men’s competition’s Elimination Final between the Bulldogs and Hawthorn.
The double-header announcement comes as the AFLW prepares to kick off their 2024 season tonight, with the Sydney Swans hosting Collingwood. Both the Bulldogs and Port Adelaide begin their campaigns tomorrow against the GWS GIANTS and Adelaide Crows respectively.Meanwhile, the AFL men’s competition begin their first week of the 2024 AFL Finals Series next week, with Port Adelaide hosting the Geelong Cats before Friday night’s blockbuster at the ‘G.
Gates for Friday’s matches will now open at 4.00pm, with the AFLW match to begin at 4.30pm and men’s Elimination Final at 7.40pm.
One ticket permits entry to both matches, with general public tickets sold out.
