The MCG will host three games in Round 16 of the 2021 AFL Premiership Season, after the AFL announced the Fremantle v Carlton match would be relocated from Optus Stadium to the MCG.
On Saturday, the MCG will host its first VFL/AFL double-header since 1986. Melbourne will host the GWS GIANTS at 1.45pm on Saturday July 3, before the Fremantle and Carlton do battle; that match commence at 7.40pm.
On Sunday July 4, Collingwood take on St Kilda at 3.20pm.
The Melbourne Cricket Club, as Ground managers of the MCG, encourages all patrons to familiarise themselves with the protocols, operations and restrictions regarding their visit to the MCG.
In line with the AFL's and the MCC’s endorsed COVIDSafe Event Plan, the two matches at the MCG on Saturday July 3 will be ticketed separately. Patrons wishing to attend both matches will need to reserve separate tickets for each match via Ticketek.
Tickets are currently available for the match between Melbourne and GWS GIANTS; however, Sunday’s match between Collingwood and St Kilda is currently sold out.
