Mike Brady will perform his iconic song, ‘Up There Cazaly’, at the MCG as part of the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final pre-game entertainment.
The AFL announced today that the performance will be shown on the big screen at the Grand Final – which has been relocated to the Gabba in Brisbane in 2020 due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria – and also during the broadcast on Channel Seven. The performance of the crowd-favourite song at the MCG will be a touching acknowledgement of Victoria, the traditional home of the AFL Grand Final.
Brady said he was looking forward to being a part of the 2020 Grand Final experience.
“It’s always an honour to be a part of the AFL Grand Final entertainment and I still get a thrill performing my song after all these years.
“I’m delighted to be included in this extraordinary year’s Grand Final and I’m looking forward to it immensely."
Earlier this month the AFL announced that the Gabba would host the 2020 AFL Grand Final – the first year since 1991 that the MCG is not the host, and the first time it has been played outside of Victoria.
