Everyone at the Melbourne Cricket Ground is extremely saddened by the tragic passing of Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh.
We extend our condolences to Phil's family and friends, and the entire AFL community, on the loss of a dedicated and passionate football person.
Advice to patrons - AFL match tonight
The AFL has confirmed that tonight's Collingwood v Hawthorn match at the MCG will proceed as scheduled.
The match will start at 7.50pm and gates will open at 5.30pm.
We encourage footy fans to attend tonight's match, and tomorrow's Richmond v GWS GIANTS match, to show your support for a family and football community in mourning.
