The Melbourne Cricket Ground is set to host an additional four-day match this summer of cricket with Australia A to take on India A as part of a series that will precede the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The second of two lead up matches between the top-ranked Test nation’s teams will be played at the MCG from November 7 to 10.The showdown provides fans with an additional opportunity to see the two great rivals in action on the hallowed turf as players from both teams vie for Test selection.
It will be the first long-form International contest held at the MCG across the 2024/25 season, played ahead of the Boxing Day Test between the men’s Australian and Indian Test teams from December 26 to 30.
Announced earlier this year, the MCG will begin its historic 2024/25 cricket fixture with a One-Day International between Australia and Pakistan on November 4.
The stadium will also feature the much-anticipated day-night Women’s Ashes Test between Australia and England from January 30 to February 2.
Tickets for the 2024/25 summer of cricket will go on sale on Friday June 14.
