Tuesday, March 24, 2020

The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), as ground managers of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), is committed to taking all of the necessary precautions outlined by the Government and health authorities in relation to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The MCC has temporarily suspended the operation of the Australian Sports Museum, MCC Library, MCG Shop and MCG Tours for the foreseeable future.

The two publicly accessed cafés within the MCG – Paddock Café and the Hugh Trumble Café – have also been temporarily closed.

The continued health and safety of staff, the many valued volunteers and all members of the public who visit these facilities is of the utmost importance to the MCG.

The AFL has also announced a halt to their men’s 2020 AFL Premiership Season which will see no matches played at the MCG until at least May 31.

For further updates on rescheduled AFL matches and reopening times and dates, please continue to visit the MCG website.
