August 5, 2021 UpdateThe Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), as ground managers of the MCG, wishes to advise that the Australian Sports Museum and MCG Tours are currently closed in light of the Victorian State Government’s lockdown in Metropolitan Melbourne.
The MCC will continue to monitor the health and safety advice provided by the Victorian Government when the lockdown is lifted and restrictions are eased on indoor venues.
The closure of the Museum also extends to Paddock Café and the MCG Shop, inside Gate 3 of the MCG.
The Club will communicate with its members and all visitors to the MCG when the Australian Sports Museum will re-open.
This is no ordinary museum. From interactive exhibits to sporting challenges, there’s so much to experience at the Australian Sports Museum. Discover touchscreens, climbable objects and crowd favourite Game On, where you can put your own skills to the test.
The Australian Sports Museum also features a number of special faces sharing first-hand accounts of their sporting story.
A highlight amongst these are life-size 3D holograms of dual AFL Premiership and Richmond Star Bachar Houli and Carlton AFLW Star Tayla Harris.
